Every home offers its own starting point: its architecture, surroundings and the personality of the people who live there. My approach is to work with those details, creating seasonal arrangements that feel naturally at home.
From fragrant holiday accents to seasonal planters, I bring together fresh greenery, branches, berries and carefully chosen elements. I handle the sourcing and installation, giving each element the attention it deserves so you can enjoy the result.
The Art of WelcomingAmes & Holt began with memories of holiday family gatherings, neighbours sharing wine on Friday evenings, and friends celebrating the seasons. For making home feel inviting, and for what it means to gather again after the years when we couldn’t.
Creating that welcome is my way of contributing to a season that feels a little brighter, a little sweeter, a little more memorable and a whole lot more beautiful.
I believe bringing back the art of welcoming can begin with something visual.
That’s where my creativity lends itself to what I hope to achieve in the communities I support and work in across York Region: opening the door to a little more conversation and bringing a little more warmth to where we live.
A passion for natural beauty.
My appreciation for beauty began outdoors. Some of my fondest memories are of walking through the forest with my grandmother, learning the names of trees, plants, birds, noticing the changing seasons and discovering that the most beautiful places are rarely the loudest.
Nature has a way of creating balance. Every colour, texture and detail has a purpose, never asking for attention, yet impossible to overlook.
Those memories still influence what I create today: layered greenery, natural textures, rich colours and branches with their own character. There is so much beauty in what Mother Nature gives us. I want to celebrate it, with care for what I use and what I leave behind.

For years I built my career in business and entrepreneurship. Over time, I realized that creativity wasn’t simply an interest; it was an essential part of who I am. Ames & Holt is a way of giving that part of myself room to grow.
I’m drawn to timeless design, heritage patterns, warm brass and the character of country homes. I love the clean lines of modern farmhouses, the warmth of stone homes and their natural tones, victorian inspired houses with their unique features. I love bringing different elements together and seeing something take shape that belongs to the home it was created for.
Supporting local is meaningful to me. It means investing in people bringing their ideas to life in the community we share. My hope for Ames & Holt is to bring a little more warmth to the way we welcome one another.
